Last months weekend of lighting tests (which produced the latest series with Jess) also resulted in an EXTREMELY productive session with Kaye, someone I’d not worked with before but who came with high recommendations from friends in South Australia!!
[singlepic id=104 w=320 h=240 float=right]With my light tests, good shots are usually a bonus – I tend to get wrapped up in the tech, and really pushing the lights hard to see what interesting results are possible, and this sometimes means I spend less time focussing on what the model is doing! But Kaye was amazing, only a few pointers here and there and seemed to know what I was looking for!
The light test itself was not a huge success – I tested across 2 days and discovered that I was not a fan of these particular lights on a number of levels. I’m not going to name them here, it will start a flame war – if you want to know, message me. But it was a strange result – of all the lights I’ve tested, I disliked these the most and yet got some of the best images I think I’ve produced (IMHO!).
[singlepic id=103 w=320 h=240 float=left]Overall, it was a good weekends work – I hope I’m as productive and pleased with the results of future light tests!! Special thanks goes to Kaye, who seemed to know what shots I wanted, and patiently tolerated my delays and light tweaking!!
